Kieth O’ Neill, the senior instructional designer at AIMM, explains the difference between a music lesson and a music certificate, adding that a lesson is not as credible as a certificate or degree. “Lessons are more of a tutorial, one-on-one type learning situation. You will undoubtedly learn a great deal, depending on the teacher, but you will not receive a Certificate, Degree, or Diploma that holds credibility within the music industry,” says O’ Neill.
