UBCO introduces micro-credential for current health-care professionals - Kirk Penton, Castanet

The Kelowna institution’s faculty of management has introduced a micro-credential in health care management and leadership, which is designed to help current professionals sharpen their skills. Micro-credentials are short, focused programs that teach skills needed for specific jobs or industry needs. They are designed to be focused, competency-based and make it possible for people to quickly gain in-demand skills while remaining in the workplace. Most of the classes will be offered online in four areas: project management frameworks, economic evaluation methods, data visualization techniques and decision-making models.
